鉴赏｜中国敦煌壁画（五代·宋）（50幅）
唐代以降，敦煌壁画远不及前代有意味，五代两宋虽不乏精微之作，却趋于板气。以艺术高下论，隋代与之前的作品最可称道。有这一层原因，此部分时间段虽长，所选作品却不多矣。《中国敦煌壁画全集(9敦煌五代宋)》讲述五代、宋时期。瓜沙正直于由曹氏家族五世统治的一百四十三年间。
曹氏仍奉中原王朝为正朔。大力提倡佛鞍。并仿效中原设立了画院，兴建和重修了许多洞窟。酉氏画院兴建的几个大型中心佛坛窟。巢前代原有的各种经变画、以佛本行集经变和龙王礼佛等为代表的折题材、以五台山图和刘萨诃与凉州山开像出因缘变为代表的佛教史迹画、与人等高的众多的曹氏家族的供养入画像、镇窟四大天王、巨型塑鲰于一窟，气势宏伟，反映出画院对洞窟的统一规刹和物资实力，引入注目的是，这一时期出现了有纪年题记的洞窟壁画，成为艺术分期和历史断代的可靠标尺。越来越多的密敦题材被精彩地反映在经变画和尊像画中；供养入画像的大量出现，表现出壁画的现实性和怫软艺术在内容与形式方面世俗化更趣明显；佛本行粜经变、贤愚级变屏风盎形式在这一时期达到了高峰。
五代、宋时期的壁画正处于由鲜丽走向淡雅的重大转折时期。人物山水画不仅以其构图、色彩、线描方面的精湛技艺取得独立地位，而且肯缘山水已开始向浅绛、水墨山水发展，曹氏画院的壁画艺术为研究当时瓜沙地区社会历史提供了珍贵的形象资料。
